Variety: 100% Arbequina from trees that are 300 years old and more on the Clos Figueras estate.
Production: After the harvest in November the olives are first washed, then cold pressed, followed by centrifugation and light filtration. A procedure that avoids any change in temperature and keeps the oil perfectly natural.
Acidity: Less than 1%, like all extra virgin olive oils.
Tasting Note: A delightful smooth aromatic olive oil with a perfect equilibrium between the fruit and the acidity. On the palate the oil has harmonious complex flavours with hints of wild herbs, artichokes, green tomatoes, apples and freshly picked almonds. A touch of bitterness gives the oil a lively, refreshing “kick” on the finish – a sure sign of quality.
The Arbequina olives from the rugged Priorat hills, within the D.O. Siurana, are exquisite and appreciated for their finesse and harmony. Also, when well cured, they are delicious to eat and an ideal pre-dinner “tapa”.
Packaging: Attractive 500ml. bottles in a dark green round presentation box.
